The Cross-State Collaborative to Support Schools in the Opioid Crisis (CCSSOC) developed the Trauma Support for Schools website for educators, policymakers, and relevant community organizations to access curated resources they can draw on to strengthen school-based support for students and educators who are experiencing trauma. CCSSOC members collected, reviewed, and curated these resources ensuring that each is:
- Publicly accessible
- Relevant for schools and educational settings
- Focused on trauma, especially in the context of the opioid epidemic
- Relevant to the REL Appalachia states (Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia)
- Grounded in high-quality research and evidence
- Useful and applicable for school staff (e.g., teachers, mental health professionals), district and state agency staff, and families
